What is evaluation?
It’s a structured process of assessing the success of a project in meeting its goals and to reflect on the lessons learned; Evaluation consider all aspects of teaching and learning, and to look at how educational decisions can be informed by the results of alternative forms of assessment.
What steps are necessary to develop an evaluation?
I think there are four steps to develop an evaluation:
First: Clarifying program objectives and goals: What are the main things you want to accomplish, and how have you set out to accomplish them? Clarifying these will help you identify which major program components should be evaluated.
Second: Developing evaluation questions.
Third: Developing evaluation methods. (Oral or written)
Fourth: Setting up a timeline for evaluation activities.

What are the best times to apply an evaluation?
I consider important to evaluate at the beginning of the course to know the previous knowledge of the students, in the middle of the course to be sure that the teaching method is efficient and at the end of it to evaluate the acquired knowledge.
What types of evaluation do you know? What are the most recommendable for you?
The types of evaluation that I know are:
Placement Evaluation: It’s used to find out to what extent student has already mastered the objectives of the planned instruction.
Formative Evaluation: It’s used to monitor student’s learning progress during instruction with the purpose of providing on going feedback to students and teachers regarding success and failure of teaching/learning process.
Summative Evaluation: This type of evaluation is given at the end of the course or unit of instructions to find out which students, to what extend has mastered the intended learning outcomes.
Diagnostic Evaluation: This type of evaluation is concerned with finding out the reasons for student’s persistent or recurring learning difficulties that can’t be resolved by standard corrective measures or formative evaluation.
All these evaluations are important recommendable; all depends in the results that the teacher wants to get and the situation.
What can determine how reliable the evaluation results are?
All the results in an evaluation are very reliable because they show the knowledge that our students have learnt in the course, or the previous knowledge that they have, it depends on the type of evaluation. An assessment gives correct and sufficient information to make inferences about learnings; it is the legitimacy of the findings as indicators of learning.
"Believe in yourself, be strong, never give up no matter what the circumstances are. You are a champion and will overcome the dreaded obstacles. Champions take failure as a learning opportunity, so take in all you can, and run with it. Be your best and don't ever give up." - Brad Gerrard
